The official interface currently sets the route as Ethereum Mainnet to Manta Pacific Mainnet and shows ETH as the deposit asset. It also warns that Ethereum gas fees may be high, so the deciding cost is the Mainnet transaction before the balance reaches Manta Pacific.
This route fits someone who already has ETH in a self-custody EVM wallet and needs a clean starting balance for swaps, gas, or an application on Manta Pacific. It is not a general “send any token from any chain” tool. Treat the asset selector and the source-network label in the live interface as the authority at the moment of signing.

The official deposit is for the person with ETH already on Mainnet. A third-party provider fits the person bridging from another chain, but only after checking its destination, token representation, quoted output, and minimum. An exchange withdrawal fits only when the exchange explicitly names Manta Pacific as the withdrawal network; never infer compatibility from a token ticker alone.
Before confirming: the four fields that prevent the usual mistake
- Source network: confirm the wallet is on Ethereum Mainnet for the direct deposit.
- Destination network: confirm Manta Pacific Mainnet, not another Manta product or an unrelated EVM network.
- Asset and amount: leave enough ETH on Ethereum for gas; do not send the entire wallet balance if the wallet must pay the transaction fee.
- Receiving wallet: confirm the connected address is the address intended for use on Manta Pacific.
Manta Pacific is an EVM environment, meaning applications and wallets use Ethereum-style addresses and transactions. It is commonly described as a Layer 2: a network that handles transactions away from Ethereum Mainnet while relying on Mainnet’s security model. That compatibility does not make every token contract interchangeable across networks.
Why a successful transaction can still look missing
First separate a pending source-chain transaction from a completed one. If Ethereum has not confirmed the deposit transaction, there is nothing for the destination to credit yet. If it has confirmed, switch the wallet to Manta Pacific and check the native ETH balance before assuming a token problem.
The next common failure is looking on the wrong network. A wallet can display the same address under Ethereum Mainnet and Manta Pacific while showing different balances. Adding Manta Pacific to the wallet, then selecting it, is necessary before the destination balance is visible.
For a third-party route, check the provider’s transaction tracker rather than the official deposit history. The provider may use a swap, liquidity transfer, or intermediate settlement process instead of the direct Ethereum deposit flow. Its quoted output can also be a different token contract than the asset held on the source chain.
Do not retry a transfer merely because the destination wallet has not refreshed. Repeating a valid bridge transaction creates a second transfer, not a repair. Record the source transaction hash, the wallet address, the selected route, and the quoted output; those are the details needed to trace the transfer with the route operator.
